Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops have become more adept, passing our tests of cleaning and tackling different types of floors. Find models that allow you to select from multiple modes, use their charging dock to self-empty, and clean up the stairs.
Many of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, schedules, and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It uses lidar for navigation and creates maps of rooms and floors.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum flooring in the dining area, kitchen and bathrooms and also a carpet in the middle and a large area. It was able to drive close to walls without hitting them, and was able to traverse thresholds for rooms that are raised without issue, though it occasionally struggled to get down stairs in a single pass. The S1 also did a great job cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on its flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it was near carpet or rugs.
The S1's docking station automatically empties its trash bin and replenishes its water tank on board with clean, ozonated waters prior to each mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough water for around twelve cleaning sessions before it has to be empty, but this will vary depending the amount you use the mop.
The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. For this, you'll need to clean the dirty water tank regularly to avoid it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting clogged by dirt or dust. But, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other models which require more effort to maintain.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robot mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a reliable option for cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8700Pa of suction and comes with numerous innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans furniture. The mopping feature is impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply moving the pad across it. Mops can also be cleaned and dried at the base station, if required.
This robot combination is simple to setup and use, with a clear interface that guides you through the process. It comes with an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot isn't able to reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically empty and filled when needed. It comes with a range of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that can easily remove dust and debris that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, although it can be stuck on small area mats and rugs at my home (which you can alleviate by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Its mopping capabilities are also excellent and include a pair of mops which are able to lift and scrub floors, rather than just moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station when required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. However, their latest flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender on our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure that a thorough, customized clean is completed.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently, avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping power is enhanced by a side brush that moves out to tackle difficult-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble that can navigate small spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It is able to move from one room to another without having to change direction. This is useful for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than other models, however, and tends to leave a large distance around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The app's interface is intuitive and well-organized. affordable robot vacuum should be easy to use by both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleanings. You can also adjust suction power, mop setting as well as view 3-D and 2D maps. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for live video surveillance. You'll require a stable internet connection to access the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
Robot vacuums are fantastic at removing dirt and debris, but they aren't able to reach every bit of dust. It's important to vacuum regularly, once a week. This is particularly important for dust that collects in corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that both vacuums and mop, is made to accomplish this. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more practical addition to your cleaning routine.
The Q5 is an edgier version of the company's more pricier S-series models, including the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it is cheaper because it doesn't come with mopping capabilities and comes with plastic body.
The Q5 is still one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping machines we've seen at this price, even though it's not equipped to wipe your floor. It has a suction power of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin by hand each time. It also comes with a smart app that lets you set your floor type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic water tank refill and wash system for hands-free operation.
Its mops also impress with their 2700Pa capacity to tackle dirt and pet hair, on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is one of the few robots we test that didn't have trouble with high-pile carpets and area carpets, but it didn't pick up cat litter or cable tangles that's not a surprise considering it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also uses a unique mapping system that allows it to reach corners and tight places that other vacuums cannot. It also stores dust in a larger dustbin that means you have empty it less frequently. It also has washable filters which further reduces costs. This robot can detect carpets and increase suction when needed. The app also lets you to mark areas you want to avoid, which is a nice feature.
